Guardian of the Rock
I still remember my first encounter with a hyena. I was in the Serengeti, with the African sun slowly descending on the horizon and a light mist hanging in the air, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere.
As my vehicle traversed a rough stretch of terrain, I was presented with a remarkable sight: a solitary hyena, sitting majestically on a large rock in the midst of the Serengeti plains.
With its unmistakable spotted coat and a gaze that seemed to encapsulate curiosity and wisdom, the hyena appeared entirely at ease on its rocky throne. Its presence exuded a sense of tranquility, creating a fascinating contrast with its reputation as a tenacious hunter.
I observed it in silence, respecting its space. The hyena seemed to seamlessly blend with the serene surrounding environment, embodying the harmony of the wild.
